Gate Opening
How should my gate open?
Swing gate :
- It is the most popular type of gate you can find. Is composed of 2 leaves (doors).
- All sizes available between 2 and 5m
- Most of gates use a lock when manual but you can also automate them very easily
- All our gates can be automated.
- All gates can open inwards or outwards. In most cases, the gate will open inwards because a gate is not supposed to open onto public areas.
Sliding gate :
- It is the perfect solution should you not have enough space to open a swing gate
- It allows you to park your car right behind it
- It is only composed of one leaf and is available in all sizes from 2m to 5m.
- Beware though, in order to maneuver the gate properly, you need to have sufficient space for it to open on either side of the gate entrance
Automated gates :
For swing gates, several different types exist :
- The arm system. Virtually reproduces a human arm movement. Suitable for gates up to 2m per leaf and no heavier than 200kg (photos 1 & 2),
- The electromechanical ram. This system is much more powerful so it is perfectly suited to all aluminium gates. 2.5m per leaf and no more than 250kgs (photo 3).
- Underground automation. It is definitely the most discreet system. The gate is mounted with special "shoes" which is then mounted on the automation pivot. This system allows the gate to revolve on the automation's pivot. Suitable for gates up to 2.5m and 300kg per leaf. (photo 4)
-The integrated automation. A true alternative to underground systems. The motor is embedded in the gate low crossbar so it is absolutely invisible. This system avoids a lot of onsite construction work. Suitable for gates up to 3.5m. (photo 5)
-Automation with gate rack and side motor. This allows the gate to slide on a track that is fastened on the ground. Suitable for gates weighing up to 500kgs. (photo 6)
-Automation with gate rack but motor fixed inside the guide post. This system has two main advantages: Invisible motor, and easy onsite installation with just one post to bolt on the base. (photo 7)
